Studied Zoology at the University Vienna. Since 1991 numerous dragonfly and bird related projects for different clients, since February 2001 as “Technical Office for biology”. Main field of work is the cross boarder Conservation project for the Great Bustard. First sighting of the Great Bustard out of private interest already in the years 1990 and 1991 in Marchfeld. Since spring 1999 until summer 2014 he spent more than 5000 hours in the field private or occupational in the Austrian Bustard areas and is still excited about each and every Great bustard sighting.

Péter Spakovszky
Dipl.-Ing. Péter Spakovszky

Studied Agricultural sciences at the University Gödöllő in Hungary. He had the first conact with the Great Bustard in the year 2000 while working in the field for his diploma thesis in Hortobágy. Since 2004 he is engaged occupationally for the Great Bustard protection in close to border Great bustard area Mosoni-sík in the scope of the west Hungarian University Sopron and the Fertő-Hanság National Park. Since November 2008 he is also a Coworker in the Technichal Office for Biology Mag. Rainer Raab.

Mag. med. vet. Verena Strauß

studied veterinary medicine at the Veterinary University in Vienna. During her studies, she completed the Conservation Medicine specialization module and worked on the pathology of the Research Institute of Wildlife Ecology.

Main tasks:
pathological examinations on wild- and zoo animals, in particular birds in collaboration with the Institute of Pathology at the Veterinary University of Vienna.

Maria Rühringer, MSc.

She is a geoinformatist and cartographer with an international master degree in cartography. Her master's thesis examined the application of ecosystem service cards in national governments and the European Union. Since 2014, she has worked for universities, the EU and the United Nations in the field of static and interactive (spatial) data analysis and visualization.
